Lewes (pronounced Lewis) was the ancient county town of Sussex, and the East Sussex and distict councils are still located in Lewes for this reason. Nowadays there is a thriving and attractive town centre, within which Application Solutions' Design and Admin site is based, while the Manufacturing and Support site is located on the edge of the town.

There are many local amenities within a few minutes drive of Lewes, ranging from the holiday resort of Brighton, through to Glyndbourne Opera House, sailing from Brighton Marina, or some fine golf courses. Lewes itself is located in the heart of some beautiful countryside, with many attractive villages. Indeed, one delight of the town is that there are few streets in the town centre from which you cannot look out on the green of the hills and valleys around the town. On the other hand, for those who appreciate the West End, London is just over an hour away by direct line train.
